Moulded, multi-layer polymer (PVC) high-performance film. This chrome film is specially designed for tuning and designer applications.
The HEX‘PRESS masking paper simplifies the application considerably. Ideal for decoration (full wrapping) of vehicles (cars, motorbikes, boats, etc.) and design objects such as furniture, laptops, mobile phones and much more!
Immediate and permanent adhesion, optimal after 24 hours of contact. Dry bonding. Solvent-based acrylic adhesive.
Durability: 4 years
Film thickness: 70my
Elongation at break (%): min. 50
Recommended minimum processing temperature: + 18°C
Preferably process at a temperature of 20°C to 25°C.
Temperature resistance: -40°C to +90°C
Chemical resistance: The adhesive is resistant to most chemicals (alcohol, essences, diluted acids, oils, fuels).
This chrome film is a technically demanding product that requires special care when bonding:
-Be particularly careful when handling the film on the liner! Do not bend or fold the film while it is still in contact with the liner. Bending or folding will result in slight marks on the film that cannot be removed during further processing. However, once the film has been removed from the liner, it can be creased or folded without any problems.
- Do not roll up the film too tightly (for example, do not roll it up without a cardboard core), otherwise the film may detach from the liner and leave marks on the film that cannot be removed.
- This film is stronger than other products in the HX30000 series and therefore requires more force to achieve the same deformation.
- The full bonding of large format parts may require two people to carry out the work and more time may be needed for the work.
- Ensure that the limits of the film are not exceeded: The film may suffer slight and irreparable deterioration of the surface appearance (fading, loss of gloss) if the film is stretched or deformed beyond the limits.
- Due to the mirror optics, the film absorbs heat quickly and permanently. When applied with a heat gun, heat is generated faster and more persistently than with other products in the range. This property must be taken into account when processing the film. Also avoid burns from contact with the hot film.
- If air bubbles form during application, they must not be punctured! Otherwise, the film may be permanently and irreparably damaged!
- For a perfect finish and a perfect mirror look of the product, clean the surface with a care product. Caution: Only clean the surface after the first 24 hours after the film has been applied.
